About Emma Olsson

Emma Olsson is a senior lecturer at School of Health Sciences at Örebro University. She is also a registered nurse specialized in Pediatric Nursing and Intensive Care Nursing and her research mostly concerns different ways of promoting the health of the newborn infant. Different areas of research are skin-to-skin contact between the preterm infant and his/her mother, pain assessment as well as pain management within this population. 

Emma Olsson is a member of the Canadian research programme PICH (Pain in Child Health) as well as the international research group PEARL (Pain in Early Life). She is also a member of the Cochrane Collaboration. Emma Olsson has a joined employment and is also working as a nurse the neonatal intensive care unit at Örebro University Hospital. She received her PhD in 2017. 

Emma Olsson is also a member of the board for SNQ (the Swedish neonatal care register).
