Om Maria Ojala
Maria Ojala är docent i psykologi och jobbar som universitetslektor vid Örebro Universitet. Tidigare var hon verksam som forskare vid Uppsala Universitet. Maria är forskningsledare för det mångvetenskapliga Centrum för samhällsvetenskaplig miljö- och hållbarhetsforskning (CESSS) tillsammans med Karin Gustafsson, sociologi, och Erik Hysing, statskunskap.
Marias forskning handlar främst om ungas (från sen barndom till ungt vuxenliv) tankar, känslor, kommunikationsmönster och handlande i relation till klimatförändringarna. Hon är speciellt intresserad av olika sätt att hantera klimatfrågan på utifrån ett psykologiskt perspektiv och vilka implikationer detta får för lärande för hållbar utveckling. Maria har även skrivit ett antal artiklar om hopp och engagemang inför klimatfrågan. Dessa är både av en empirisk och teoretisk karaktär.
