Swedish Language as a research subject at Örebro University is located in the fields of applied and educational linguistics as well as in literacy studies and multimodal discourse analysis. We analyse text and talk from various critical perspectives, often in professional, educational, and multilingual contexts. Another focus is on how different semiotic modes, for example image and colours, are drawn into communication and meaning-making along with language.
