About Daniela Andrén
Daniela Andrén is an Associate Professor of Economics at Örebro University School of Business, Örebro, Sweden. Her primary research interests are in labor and health economics, with a focus on evaluating public policies. She has published articles that addresses methodological challenges of evaluating the effect of public interventions related to social insurance and labor market exits, structural state dependence, and individual well-being.
Currently, her research focuses on individual and societal well-being from the perspective of progress, framed within the contexts of globalization, global warming, artificial intelligence, and limited resources. She investigates how work-integrating social enterprises, population preferences for resource allocation, and willingness to pay for interventions can contribute to protecting individuals and society from adverse events.
Daniela has developed, coordinated, and taught several courses in econometrics, applied econometrics, and applied economics, including economics research and communication, causal inference for economists, normative ethics in informatics, and health economics. She is also involved in educational projects to develop and implement teaching methods that enhance students' learning outcomes and overall well-being.
