Om Alexandra Ullsten
Alexandra Ullsten, filosofie doktor i musikvetenskap med inriktning musikterapi, är affilierad forskare vid Institutionen för Hälsovetenskaper på Örebro universitet. Alexandra är anställd som Musik- och bildterapeut vid Rehabiliteringen specialistvård på Centralsjukhuset i Karlstad, Region Värmland. Alexandras forskningsområde är i huvudsak inom familjecentrerad musikterapi som smärtlindring vid provtagning av nyfödda, för tidigt födda och sjuka fullgångna spädbarn med fokus på föräldraledda smärtlindrande interventioner som initieras och leds av föräldrarna så som föräldrars vaggsång i kombination med amning/hud-mot-hud-vård och beröring. Alexandra disputerade 2019 med avhandlingen” Singing, sharing, soothing: Family-centred music therapy during painful procedures in neonatal care”.
