Due to the Russian aggression, the situation of children with intellectual disabilities (ID) in Ukraine is extremely challenging. Considering the aspiration to integrate into the European Union and its disability policy framework, Ukraine strives to develop an inclusive education system. In this context, the EPERE project aims to enhance the inclusion of children with ID in education by providing training for teachers, teaching assistants, and school psychologists. Within the project and empirically based on the perspectives of the involved stakeholders, training modules will be developed, implemented, and evaluated in three regions of Ukraine. Against this background, guidelines for including children with ID will be formulated, strengthening the Ukrainian strategy and policy development.
