The meal in prison

A new model for inmates meals intended for implementation in the whole of Sweden. "Self-catering" was the catchword where the inmates on a ward were intended to plan, order or purchase food stuffs, cook and serve/eat the meals together. A meal concept intended as a positive and easily acceptable idea turned out to contain questions of identity, power, feelings, meaning, and symbols.
