Group information
This theme has a focus on how citizen engagement and political participation develop, are organized and communicated. The theoretical basis is in political participation, political socialization, political communication, and theories of civic society. A prioritized field of interest is youth political and democratic socialization with a focus on knowledge, attitudes and engagement, based on longitudinal empirical data in cooperation with psychologists and sociologists (Youth & Society). Another field of interest is about democratic innovations and their consequences for political participation and political institutions.
