Licensed Biomedical Scientist and Senior Lecturer at the Unit for Medical Diagnostics, Department of Health Sciences
PhD from Örebro University in 2011 with the thesis “Biomarkers in non-small cell lung carcinoma: methodological aspects and influence of gender, histology and smoking habits on estrogen receptor and epidermal growth factor family receptor signalling.”

Teaching
Since 2014, Christina has been the program director for the Biomedical Scientist program. She teaches cell biology as well as morphology and morphological techniques in undergraduate and advanced-level courses, primarily within the Biomedical Scientist program, but also within the Radiography Nursing and Nursing programs. 

Research
Christina's research focuses primarily on biological and prognostic factors in tumor disease development, and she has led and participated in projects on lung cancer, cervical cancer, breast cancer, and endometrial cancer. The methods used in these analyses include histotechnology, immunohistochemistry, FISH and CISH, as well as image analysis. Christina serves as a co-supervisor for three doctoral students and supervises student theses at both undergraduate and advanced levels.
