Role highlights:

• Understanding tech strategy – Learn how tech decisions are made at Merge and contribute with your own ideas and improvements
• Automation & efficiency – Help develop and refine systems that streamline key business processes. Balance speed and scalability—ship functional solutions quickly while improving them iteratively
• Business-driven tech – Work closely with M&A professionals to build solutions that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency
• Take initiative and drive progress – Work closely with the team, help push projects forward, and gain real experience in building useful tools. Move fast, prioritise execution, and focus on delivering results rather than overengineering solutions

We are looking for someone who:

• Is currently studying or recently graduated in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Is curious about how tech can solve real business problems, and eager to learn when to build fast and when to refine
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, building and shaping new systems
  without being constrained by outdated legacy technology – focusing on
  execution and impact over excessive planning
• Is comfortable with data, automation, and system development. Experience with Python, machine learning and AI is a plus. Familiarity with fullstack web development (e.g. TypeScript or Next.js) is beneficial, as is experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
• Is proactive and eager to take initiative, with support from the team
• Communicates well and can explain technical solutions to non-technical
  stakeholders
• Has a genuine interest in M&A and finance—this is critical for understanding what needs to be built, when, and why
• Wants to explore the intersection of M&A and technology, and is curious about future career paths in tech-driven finance
