Who we are

Reach for Change is a global non-profit founded in Sweden. Our vision is a world where all children and youth reach their full potential. We are working towards this vision by finding local social entrepreneurs and empowering them to develop and scale innovative solutions that improve the lives of children and youth. We were co-founded by successful entrepreneurs in the non-profit and business sectors in 2010, and since then we have supported more than 2,000 direct beneficiaries in 18 countries across three continents who have in turn supported 4.7 million children and youth. We run capacity development programs for social entrepreneurs that are tailored to their specific developmental stage. The social entrepreneurs are supported in starting, validating, and scaling their innovations through capacity development, network connections and funding, all in partnership with multiple sectors. What we can offer

As part of the Central Program and Impact team, you will be working on projects that have a direct impact on our work. You will join a highly talented global team, and you will be given significant responsibility including your own project to lead. Working in this team is demanding, but you will learn a lot quicker and will develop your workplace skills significantly.

During your internship

You will be working directly with the Central Program and Impact Team providing support with different and engaging day-to-day tasks, often in cooperation with other team members located across the globe. Your role will include research and analysis, support program development and implementation, and support meetings and general admin. You will get hands-on experience with a number of different tasks like impact data analysis, project management, program design. Specific tasks will be based on your skills and your goals, and can include: supporting data validation and analysis, doing a first draft of a presentation or sections of documents, updating specific internal tools, and supporting the set up of new projects that Reach for Change will be implementing. You will also work on a "red thread" project that fits your interests and the needs of RfC, where you will take the lead and work on driving the project forward independently.

A typical working day is between 9 and 17, but working hours are flexible and within reason can be done remotely. Minimum every other week you will have a check-in with your supervisor, where your work tasks and development will be followed up on.

Who you are

A student: We expect you to be a student either at the Bachelor’s or Master’s level and connected to a university where the internship is part of your education plan. The position is unpaid and therefore it is important to us that you are receiving funds from a third party (SU/CSN/Erasmus Stipendium or another source of student support).

Passionate: Have a strong passion when it comes to the end goal of improving the world for children and youth, and are interested in working in a remote and international, pragmatic, business-savvy and results-driven team.

Brave: As a person, you are brave, thorough, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You don’t hesitate to take initiative, are proactive, and enjoy having varied tasks and projects. You don't hesitate to ask questions, learn, be curious and would rather fail than do nothing.

Smart: You care about the quality of your work and you have an entrepreneurial, problem-solving, go-getter mindset. You are also confident in utilizing standard IT tools for day-to-day tasks and communication - especially Google Suite.

Competencies and skills we are looking for: Good proficiency in English is required and proficiency in Swedish is a plus. Ideally, you will also have some previous experience working within programs and/or impact functions in the non-profit sector through a previous internship or work experience.
