Access to electronic resources
Örebro University Library has entered subscription agreements and contracts with several different publishers and distributors of electronic journals, electronic books and databases. These agreements govern how students and staff may use e-journals and databases.
Guidelines on appropriate use of electronic resources
In most cases, the agreements are entered through national procurements made by the National Library of Sweden or one of the national resource libraries. The terms of these procurement contracts vary. Generally, none of the contracts allows commercial use of the material concerned. To read, download, and print an article for personal use is usually permitted. Downloads of entire journals or databases are however not permitted.
A general overview of the national procurements agreements is available on the National Library of Sweden's webpage “Villkor och begrepp i avtalen” (in Swedish).
Do not forget to read the definitions stated at the top of the overview. The overview also contains information on use of articles found in licensed resources in coursepacks.
