Organisation
Örebro University Library is led by the Library Director. The organisation is divided into three divisions, as well as operational support and open science.
Operational support
The operational support team is responsible for the operation and support of the University Library’s digital systems. The team is also responsible for automation and adaptations of new and existing processes at the University Library.
Open Science
The coordinator for open science at the University Library is responsible for supporting the university's management, administration, faculties, and individual researchers in matters related to open science. The coordinator's duties also include reporting on and coordinating the local implementation of various national and international initiatives related to open science.
Division for Teaching and Research Support
The division is in charge of teaching and tutoring students in academic information retrieval, reference management, and academic writing. The division also provides training and support to the university’s researchers and research students in, among other things, information retrieval, systematic literature reviews, academic writing, publishing strategies, bibliometrics and other research supporting resources. The division further oversees the development of the library’s learning environments.
Division for Customer Service and Media
The division coordinates the University Library's external customer service via information desks and other contact channels. The division is responsible for loan issues, interlibrary loans, reading services of course books (Legimus) as well as purchasing and making available the library's printed and electronic collections. In addition, communication and marketing, the library's physical premises and the university's local publication databases are included. The division also coordinates exhibitions and activities in the libraries and offers library tours to visitors.
Medical Library, Campus USÖ
The Medical Library is a part of the University Library and serves staff and students at Örebro University’s School of Medicine as well as staff at Region Örebro County. The library provides teaching and research support in for example information retrieval, reference management, systematic research reviews, publishing strategies and other research supporting recourses. In addition, the library conducts literature searches on behalf of Region Örebro County staff. The division is further responsible for and provides access to Region Örebro County’s e-books, journals, and databases.
