Om Jono Van Belle
Jono Van Belle är postdok i genusvetenskap på projektet Digiscreens och universitetslektor i medie- och kommunikationsvetenskap. Hon disputerade 2019 på Ghent Universitet och Stockholm Universitet.
Forskning
För närvarande arbetar Jono Van Belle på projektet Digiscreens som postdok, tillsammans med Maria Jansson. Projektet handlar om identitet och demokrati på digitala film och TV-plattformar i Europa och ämnar undersöka distribution, reception och representation.
I samarbete med María Paz Peirano (Universidad de Chile, Chile) och Fernando Ramos Arenas (Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spanien) arbetar Van Belle på an antologi om Ingmar Bergmans mottagande världen omkring.
Tidigare har Jono Van Belle forskat på Åsa Jernudds projekt Filmpubliken i Sverige: En studie om biografens storhetstid och tillbakagång (2019-2021).
Jono Van Belles forskningsintressen inkluderar minnet, publiksforskning, feminism, media policy och emotions and affect.
Bakgrund
Jono Van Belle har en tekniskt bakgrund i filmskapande. Hon har jobbat som reporter för olika internationella mediaföretag, som t. ex Woestijnvis (i Belgien) och MTV (del av Viacom). Van Belle är editorial board member för den akademiska tidskriften Tijdschrift voor Skandinavistiek och är styrelsemedlem för ECREA film studies.
