Om Jakob Palmkvist
Jakob Palmkvist är universitetslektor i Matematik och ämnesansvarig, vilket innebär ett övergripande ansvar för forskning och undervisning i matematik vid Örebro universitet. Han har doktorsexamen och docenttitel från Chalmers tekniska högskola, och även erfarenhet från doktorand- och postdoctjänster vid Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute, Tyskland), Université Libre de Bruxelles, Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques (IHÉS, Frankrike) och Texas A&M University. Jakob Palmkvist forskar kring algebraiska strukturer, speciellt Lie-superalgebror som beskriver dualitets- och rumtidssymmetrier i fundamental fysik.
