Military culture and organizing

The research project will explore the relationship between technocratic and socio-ideological forms of control in empirical contexts characterized by different organizational technologies, competence profiles and forms of social interaction.

Ethnographic studies of a number of military units from different arms will focus:
- Military practice and its cultural framing in different types of military units.
- The reception of technocratic and socio-ideological control from the national HQ at different levels of the hierarchy in military units.
