Lecture: International approaches to scenario design and debriefing in simulation-based education in healthcare

Welcome to a lecture on simulation-based learning in the health professions. The lecture is directed to teachers and students at the Örebro University and colleagues at the RÖL KTC. No cost but limited seats so please register below for participation.
Dr. Tim Torsy is a nursing professional with a combination of both clinical and academic expertise. With over eight years as an intensive care nurse, he has experience in managing the complexities of critically ill patients. Building on his clinical background, dr. Torsy pursued advanced academic training, earning a Master of Science in Nursing and Midwifery, and completed his PhD at Ghent University (Belgium). Driven by a commitment to improving patient outcomes, his research primarily focuses on optimizing nutritional practices within nursing care, currently including management of critically ill patients requiring nasogastric feeding and the effects of nutritional interventions on wound healing. He is also an active member of the Skin Integrity Research Group (SKINT) at Ghent University. In addition to his research, dr. Torsy serves as a Visiting Professor in MSc in Nursing and Midwifery at Ghent University and as a lecturer, researcher and simulation instructor in BSc in Nursing and Midwifery at Odisee University of Applied Sciences.
