“I think iRiSC is a great working environment, we have inspiring, passionate and professional researchers. And this job is a great opportunity for me to be familiar with many important molecular biology methodologies. I am very interested in the interaction between inflammation and metabolism, and I am hoping that this position will enable me to continue my studies in this field.”
iRiSC’s very first research assistant
In August 2018, Keyede Tuerxun (Kaya), started her position as the very first research assistant at iRiSC. Kaya will work in a number of projects connected to iRiSC, where she will plan and execute analyses as well as support down-stream interpretation of data. Kaya is originally from Xinjiang in China, where she trained as a medical doctor specializing in endocrinology, but moved to Sweden to study a Masters at Örebro university.

Kaya did her Masters thesis within iRiSC, where she studied how inflammasome-related genes change during the course of surgery. With her expertise in molecular biology and friendly manners, we are more than happy to have her onboard.
