Handling and safety instructions
The employer must ensure that workers' knowledge of work and risks at work is sufficient, in order to prevent ill health and accidents and achieve a satisfactory working environment. When the risks at work are serious, there must be written instructions for the work.
The instructions shall be available to workers at the workplace and shall be easily understandable. It is also important that they are kept up to date and include information about when they are updated. Written instructions may need to be combined with oral ones. The employer should make sure that the instructions have been correctly understood.
The instructions accompanying any work equipment on delivery shall be available to the workers concerned and, if necessary, supplemented by written or oral instructions.
Each school is responsible for documentation and storage of the instructions.
