Flammable and explosive goods
The handling of flammable and explosive goods is regulated by the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods (SFS 2010:1011). Under Section 7 of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods, a person carrying out activities requiring a permit under this Act must ensure that a satisfactory assessment is carried out of the risks of accidents and damage to life, health, the environment or property which could be caused by fire or explosion due to the flammable or explosive goods, and of the consequences of such events. In this regard, it is crucial for persons handling flammable and explosive goods to have, or have access to, adequate knowledge with consideration to the scope of the activity.
Under Section 9 of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods, a party carrying out activities subject to a permit under that Act must appoint one or more persons to supervise the activities. Örebro University's handling of flammable and explosive goods is subject to a permit. For more information, see the section Permits for the handling of flammable and explosive goods.
