Informatics, Quantitative Methods in Information Systems Research, Second Cycle, 7.5 Credits
This course introduces students to the application of quantitative methods in research in the field of information systems. It covers the fundamental principles and methods required to conduct research, encompassing the entire process from study design to the presentation and interpretation of results. The course begins with an introduction to data collection techniques, addressing different types of data and sampling methods. This is followed by statistical analysis methods, including hypothesis testing, data exploration, linear regression, and cluster analysis. Finally, students apply their knowledge to a case study within information systems.

Prerequisites: Informatics, Basic Course 30 Credits, 30 Credits at intermediate course level within Informatics and successful completion of at least 15 Credits at advanced course level within Informatics. Alternatively Business Administration, Basic Course, 30 Credits, Business Administration, Intermediate Course, 30 Credits and successful completion of at least 15 Credits at advanced course level within Business Administration. Alternatively 30 Credits within G1N in Computer Science and 45 Credits within G1F in Computer Science.
