Environmental Forensics, 15 Credits

Environmental forensics is the investigative work concerning chemical compounds in the environment and utilizes a range of chemical disciplines to determine sources and timing of chemical pollution. This requires multidisciplinary expertise in natural sciences, including chemical fate and transport, environmental, analytical, environmental sampling, advanced statistics and quality control and quality assurance. Case studies are included where the students will plan all from the design of an environmental forensic study to the final reporting of the results.
