Bioinformatics and System Biology Methods, 7.5 Credits

The course deals with different techniques for analyzing molecular OMIC profiles (transcriptomics - microarray, Next Generation Sequencing; metabolomics - GC-MS; proteomics - MS and antibody mediated techniques).
The course includes programming (R, programming statistical analyses) for use with different methods (one-dimensional and multivariate) for biomarker analysis.
The results will be analyzed using information from different molecular biology databases. Several statistical concepts such as statistical testing, multiple testing and other concepts of statistical analysis will be presented.
