Healthcare science is a specialisation within the subject Medical Science.
Healthcare sciences focus on health and ill health problems of acute and long-term sick and disabled people. The subject has a person, family and community perspective comprehensive health promotion, prevention, care/treatment and rehabilitation.
Currently, there are about forty students in the specialisation Healthcare sciences. Their thesis projects are often carried out within the various research environments at the School of Health sciences and stir for example, the areas of occupational therapy or nursing science.
