Biomedicine is since March 2010, a specialisation within the subject Medical Science.
Biomedicine is a topic in the field of medical science . The subject includes knowledge from the basic disciplines to define, understand and explain medical problems. Biomedicine also houses the field of biomedical laboratory science. In biomedicine one is devoted to human beings and their diseases on the basis of the role of genes, molecules and cells play in normal function and disease. The subject has experimental approach and is relevant to the understanding of human diseases and for the part of health care dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up development. The topic is of overarching character with basic medical and clinical medical issues, thus promoting cross-border multi-disciplinary studies.
