Mandatory course for PhD students in Medical Science admitted on the general syllabus in medical science between March 2010 and September 2014.
Course content
The primary topics to be discussed in this course are the need for interdisciplinary approach when dealing with phenomenon caused by a multiplicity of causes, cases that requires genuinely synthetic interdisciplinary work, involving epistemic integration of the knowledge of the different mechanisms.
An orientation of the background of and the biopsychosocial content of The International Classification of Functioning and Health (ICF).
The argument for interdisciplinarity and the conceptual framework developed for interdisciplinary research (ICF) for complex concrete phenomenon will be applied in selected cases.
Course information
The course is carried out individually.
1 higher education credits for licentiate degree, 2,5 higher education credits for doctoral degree.
Admission requirements
To gain access to the course and complete the examinations included in the course, the applicant must be admitted to doctoral education in Medical Science and the former general syllabus between March 2010 and September 2014.
