Increasing amounts of plastic litter have been found to accumulate in oceans worldwide and a wide range of marine wildlife has been documented to ingest plastic particles. The overall aim of the current project is to increase the knowledge of the ability of floating plastic from the gyres to adsorb and concentrate pollutants out of the water column.
