PhD Workshop August 22-23
Objective
The PhD workshop at NFF 2022 (dates 22-23 August, 2022) provides a number of PhD students with a forum for presenting their research and getting feedback from fellow PhD students and experienced researchers in the field.
The workshop is open to doctoral students within all fields of business administration, and all topics, pertinent perspectives and methodological approaches will be considered. Since the main conference theme is focused on “Bringing research together", we encourage and aim at creating a workshop platform that mirrors this belief. We thereby look forward to broadening the view and understanding of where Nordic business administration will be in the future.
In addition to be a source of scientific inspiration, the workshop is also a social event. As maximum of 20 students are admitted, doctoral students who are about halfway through their projects will be given priority, since they are likely to benefit the most from the workshop. Priority will also be given to doctoral students from NFF member institutions.
The workshop will be held in a cooperative, open, and friendly atmosphere. In the spirit of this philosophy, participants are required to attend the entire workshop. All participants are expected to present, discuss, and reflect upon their work to and with fellow students and faculty, and act as an opponent. Sessions will be organized in smaller groups based on the submitted material with a senior scholar in each group.
Faculty
A faculty of scholars specialized in different fields of business administration will take part in the PhD Workshop, provide support and feedback, share their experiences, and engage actively in the discussions. The workshop will be coordinated by Postdoctoral researcher Dr. Madelen Lagin.
Application
The application deadline has been extended to March 25, 2022. In order to apply for the PhD workshop students must submit a motivational letter (including CV of maximum two pages), a recommendation letter from a senior researcher (optional), and a short PhD project presentation (4-7 pages) to nff2022@oru.se stating ‘PhD Workshop’ in the subject of the email. All three documents must be submitted as PDF files. There are no particular writing guidelines or templates for the documents.
Notification of acceptance of the abstract will be made by mid-April, 2022.
Doctoral students who want to participate in the workshop should also be attending the NFF conference (paper presentation is not mandatory).
