Project information
This thesis explores the collective representation of music as knowledge, meaning and legitimate content in public education. The research is in the field of curriculum theory/studies and integrates insights from the sociology of education, discourse analysis and philosophy of education. The aim is to critically investigate the discursive recontextualisation between cultural production and reproduction in terms of both relations within and relations to music education.
