Experimental and clinical studies of the gastrointestinal tract in cardiac dysfunction and in cardiac surgery

The project aims to find methods to detect, prevent and limit damage to the gastrointestinal tract in cardiac surgery and subsequent intensive care through animal experimental and clinical studies. The project includes physiological, metabolic and inflammatory measurement methods as well as measurement of biomarkers in body fluids.
