ACL reconstruction and return to play in competitive sports

This project aims to understand anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL) incury, ACL reconstruction (ACL-R) and return to sports in high performance athletes. Our first study will be a RCT comparing two different ACL-grafts in higher level athletes. The second and third studies will look at the actual rate of return to sports at different divisions/levels.  The fourth study will follow and evaluate high-performance athletes during a period of 3 years after ACL-R.
