The aim of the exchange between Moi University and Örebro university is to initiate a joint research and migrant education project, through sharing scientific work and best practises of teaching in order to utilize digital multi literacies in language education and vocational training for migrants. The initial exchange plane includes working meetings, seminars, lectures, and visits at local trainings centres in the two countries and universities during a one-year exchange period. The exchange will result in a detailed research and education plan, publication of three peer reviewed international papers and a concluding open international online symposium. A preliminary plan of a pilot study departs from some initial questions that will be developed further during the exchange. Examples of such questions below.
- What are the challenges related to utilization of digital multiliteracy in different national educational contexts?
- What kind of digital multiliteracy skills are developed during the migration in relation to different phases and contexts in the migration process?
- How can digital multiliteracy promote migrants language learning and vocational training in Kenya and Sweden?
