Doctoral studies in Culinary Arts and Meal Science
Culinary Arts and Meal Science is an interdisciplinary research and teaching environment where the meal and the meal experience are studied from social, cultural and natural science perspectives, as well as from the perspectives of the practical craft and aesthetic design involved. RHS was first in the world to introduce Culinary Arts and Meal Science as a doctoral subject area.
Doctoral education is the final tier of higher education. There are two doctoral study programmes – one concluding with the licentiate degree and one concluding with the doctoral degree. These programmes are to provide, among other things, the in-depth knowledge and skills that enable the student to pursue research autonomously.
