The members of the research group focus on education of children, young people, and adults in vulnerable life situations. They may have experienced, e.g., social marginalisation, learning difficulties, trauma, or disability. Building on a socio relational perspective, the focus is on the interaction between individuals and the surrounding environment, primarily educational institutions such as schools and student health services. Studies of the heterogeneous group of "people in vulnerable life situations" are carried out at organizational, group and individual level. Ongoing research projects are "Collaboration for inclusive student health issues" and "Collaboration for education in compulsory school for pupils with intellectual disability". With respect to research methodology, qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods approaches exist.
