Traumatic limb amputation and depression risk
About this project
Project information
Traumatic amputation often occurs during working age, and people who experience amputation are usually expected to continue working after recovery. The risk of depression has been suggested to be higher for individuals who underwent amputation but remained inconclusive. We also investigate socioeconomic, demographic and developmental characteristics prior to amputation modify this risk and whether potential deleterious change in socioeconomic circumstances after amputation influence depression risk.
