Crisis Communication in Practice

The overarching purpose of the project is to develop new perspectives on crisis communication based on classical and contemporary rhetorical theories and methods. The aim of the contained studies is to build a holistic picture of rhetorical processes encompassing positioning of and directives from management functions as well as the medial rhetoric surrounding crises and their processes. The long-term purpose is to integrate the empirical and theoretical results in a practical process of knowledge for target groups in crisis management organizations.
