Statistics Sweden and Örebro University Summer School in Statistics 2018
Agenda 2030
Monitoring the sustainability goals – statistics and analysis in a new context
Örebro, 27 - 29 august, 2018
The summer school introduces the 2030 Agenda sustainable development goals with a focus on possibilities and challenges for the monitoring on a national and global scale. What targets can be measured with existing statistics and what areas provide new challenges? How can statistics be used and analyzed to inform policy dialogue? Examples of areas are climate, peace, gender equality and socioeconomic conditions, where a particular problem is to highlight conditions for vulnerable groups in society.
Speakers: Viveka Palm and Sara Frankl from Statistics Sweden, authors of the first baseline report for Sweden for 2015 that was published in April 2017.
