Academic writing support for researchers

Would you like to produce clearer texts? Have reviewers requested that you ask a native speaker to check your manuscript? Or do you need help identifying language issues in the manuscripts you review or supervise?

From funding applications to the publications of results, writing is integral to the research process. The Academic Writing Centre at Örebro University Library provides writing support to doctoral students and researchers during all stages of the research process.

Helping you to help yourself

Our support is focused on helping you to help yourself. We can provide feedback and suggestions for improving structure, flow, style, register, and language use in a variety of research text genres (e.g. applications, abstracts, articles, posters and conference presentations).

The course Academic Writing

The course Academic Writing is offered regularly to doctoral students who want to improve their writing skills in English.

Doctoral students and other researchers are welcome to contact the Academic Writing Centre to receive individual support. We can also help research groups or cohorts of doctoral students, so please contact us with any workshop/seminar ideas, or any other questions.
