Aim
Study the effects of resistance training alone and in combination with dietary intervention on body composition, muscle strength,physical function and psychological aspects.
Determine whether resistance training alone and in combination with dietary intervention can influence biological markers of aging.
Determine whether there is an association between the degree of functional changes following intervention and changes in biological markers of aging.
A six-months randomized controlled trial including three groups of healthy elderly women aged between 65-70 yrs.
