Sustainable dialogue? Rhetoric in meetings on nuclear waste management
About this project
Project information
Research focus is directed at risk communication as a part of democratic decision making, and on the problems that might arise in the dialogue between experts, civil society and politicians. Different rhetorical strategies might bring about limitations and possibilities for the actors to meet and take decision, which is here studied through the case of The Swedish nuclear waste management. More specifically, the work of the Swedish National Council for Nuclear Waste is put in a historical perspective, with the point of looking closer at the rhetorical learning and the handling of communicative crisis.
