Project information
Through a critical perspective the dissertation examines the ideological composition of the media discourse on the Bolivarian revolution in Venezuela. This is done with the aim of exploring how the media discourse reproduces or challenges political as well as discursive structures. By using critical discourse analysis the dissertation studies the discourse of three newspapers: Dagens Nyheter (Sweden), El País (Uruguay) and New York Times.
