Priomat® - The Nutrition Care Process and Nursing informatics as a tool to prevent deterioration in nutritional status for elderly in community care - an intervention study

Overall aim is to maintain the health of the elderly, nutritional status and quality of life through increased knowledge of staff, and safer practices in the nursing process of assessment, monitoring and information transfer of nutritional status for elderly in municipal care. Teamwork for eating problem is an important part when issues can be addressed with knowledge and experience from different perspectives. Increased knowledge, coordinated procedures with specific assessments and changed attitudes from staff may be a prerequisite for recognition and treatment of nutritional status in older people in order to meet individual needs.
