Research subject

The study of women´s rhetoric is a study of democracy. Since women´s voices have been suppressed for a long time and have had many barriers to break through, women have often developed advanced techniques to enable efficiency. One result of this project is the book Women's Rhetoric that provides historical, theoretical and practical analyses about women as deliberators, thus promoting a more open and flexible rhetorical theory that does not exclude everything that does not fit into the white, male, agonistic pattern for public argumentation and popular deliberation.

Women´s Rhetoric is a result of a research collaboration initiated by Örebro University and the Centre for Rhetoric Studies at Cape Town University.
