IOGT-NTO: Strong and Clear

Strong and Clear is a parental support program targeting parents with children aged 13?16 years old. It is a universal program that aims to prevent alcohol drinking among adolescents and to maintain parents? restrictive attitudes concerning adolescents and alcohol.
The evaluation of Strong and Clear aimed to examine the effects of the program on alcohol drinking among adolescents. The adolescents and their parents were followed during the three years of secondary school (13-16 years old) with annual postal questionnaires to the parents and annual school questionnaires to the pupils. The evaluation also aimed to examine non-participation in the program and to analyse parents? perceptions of Strong and Clear.
