To be in control of time - evaluation of instruments assessing Time processing ability and daily time management in adults with intellectual disability
About this project
Project information
Today, there is no objective instrument to map time processing ability in adults with intellectual disabilities (ID).
Purpose
To test and psychometrically evaluate an instrument for Kit for Time-Processing Ability (KaTid-Adult®) and Time-Self-Rating (Time-S) for individuals with mild or moderate ID in a Swedish context.
Method
The target group is adults with mild/moderate ID. Data collection: KaTid-Adults and Time-S. Data is processed using classical statistical methods for descriptive statistics, and construct validity and reliability are examined using Rasch analysis models.
Clinical relevance
Access to evaluated instruments can streamline the assessment of impaired time management, provide a basis for designing and evaluating interventions, and give individuals increased control over their own time.
