Adding self-sampling kits to reminder letters: The effect on cost-effectiveness of cervical cancer screening reminders for long time non-attenders
About this project
Project information
In this project, we will evaluate the cost-effectiveness of sending self-sampling kits to women who do not attend cervical cancer screening. Cost-effectiveness involves assessing the resource consumption and health effects of different interventions to enable the best possible use of our shared resources. Currently, women are invited for regular screening visits, but some do not attend. Therefore, the Gynecology Clinic in Region Orebro is trying to increase the number of women who get tested by sending out a home test kit. Cervical cancer is a serious disease, but if detected early, it can often be cured. Encouraging more women to get tested is important for detecting the disease at an early stage. In this project, we will study women in Örebro County who have missed their regular screening visits and who have been offered a home HPV test.
