Dignity and decency at work - the invisible and unrecognised workers in hotel housekeeping
About this project
Project information
In this project we want to place the body at the centre in research and as a nexus for analysis of power relations, subordination and/or resistance in the workplace through the use of the concept embodied intersectionality. We explore how embodied attributes of occupational positions are developed and negotiated in a workplace but also how bodily experience in work situations could be used as a methodological practice in research. The project studies decent work in hotel housekeeping through working participant observation.
