The caring process of co-creation in palliative care; A Qualitative Meta Synthesis

Background: Palliative care in the home has developed and will increase. In recent years, the phenomenon of co-creation in palliative care has emerged. The aim of the study was to describe and create a theoretical understanding of the phenomenon of co-creation within palliative care and create a theory. Method: Qualitative meta-synthesis of 17 studies was carried out. The result can be seen as a multidimensional model of the phenomenon of co-creation. Co-creation can be seen as part and the basis for palliative person-centered care. If co-creation exists in caring relationships and actions, with a focus on the vital goal of patients' needs and wishes in the final stages of life, it can be seen as good palliative care over time.
