Emergency interventions and transport to hospitals of patients receiving palliative care at home or in nursing homes
About this project
Project information
The name of our research group is PACEM (PAlliative Care in Emergency Medicine), which means peace. The aim is to create peace for patients, relatives, and care staff near the end of life, as patients can be transported between the contexts of municipal health care, home care, ambulance and emergency care. Being transported to an emergency department during the dying process can mean unnecessary suffering. Palliative care is a complex form of care that must be able to be carried out in the home, in nursing homes and in hospitals.
