This project addresses the unsustainable handling of waste and the continous leakage of hazardous substances from landfills into the Baltic Sea. Improved management strategies for landfills are needed to reduce the pollution load and to achieve good water quality. The aim of the project is to expand and strenghten the network around this problem and increase the knowledge base.
